What is one common mistake you see repeated on the job site that creates confusion and ultimately affects the quality of work?

That is a great question. One of the most important aspects in construction a concrete slab is setting the grade. Many contractors struggle with setting grade because they do not have a well-defined and consistent benchmark to work off. Taking the time to clearly define a benchmark for the project and then communicating its location to all contractors using laser equipment will eliminate confusion and improve the quality of work. Whether it is rough grade, fine grade, formwork, or setting a laser for the placement and strike off, using the same benchmark for all these activities is extremely important.
